You may have already noticed this feature as its on every page :)
Recently, we have started getting some flame wars on the posts and this is being done to avoid such issues in the future. You may vote down any frivolous comments and vote up comments that add to the story content.
The comment voting follows the same pattern as story voting. You can only vote once and cannot take your vote back. So think before you cast that vote - Does this candidate really deserve your support?! ;)
If you vote down a comment, it is hidden from your view the next time you visit the story.
