Stories on IndianPad will now be promoted to the front page based on the karma they have accumulated. Every time a user votes on a story they add their karma to the story.
Currently, a story needs up to 60 karma points to reach the front page. The total karma of the story is displayed along with the users who voted for the story on the story page.
Anonymous users have a karma of 2 and new users start with a karma of 6 (it can go up to 20).
Calculation of Karma will be explained in a separate post.
Please Note - The above algorithm does not apply to Music or 18+ stories.
