Most of the times when the glass jar lids are so hard to open in the kitchen, I have to call my husband to help me out in opening them. But now after watching this video where Rachel Ray gives these useful handy easy tips to open a glass jar, I can open jars even when my “stronger” half is not at home.

I thought this was a poor presentation. She didn’t even see if she could open them before trying out her tests so her tests might not have even been needed. I mean I know some of those things generally work, but she didn’t even make it look real because those jars could have opened easy regardless… she never even tried.

I have seen some easy jar openers…you just need to attach the opener to jar and it works atomaticlly and opens the jar….

I tried the “slam” trick as Rachael mentioned but it didn’t worked on my new Ginger-Garlic Paste Jar. As usual, then I used the desi trick – took knife and made a hole on the top of jar and BINGO it opened.

Other “desi” trick that works very well is that you put the lid under warm or hot running water and then try to open it.
