Ajith Balakrishnan, creator, founder and chairman of the popular news website Rediff released a dictionary and beginner’s guide for ‘ReDifflish’ (an abbreviation for Really Different English). In a brief statement today Mr.Balakrishnan said “We understand that the message boards at Rediff are full of contributors who write in a language that can be foreign to people who communicate in standard English. We want to help alleviate the problems of such ignoramuses and also want to create a new standard for writing in message boards by Indians across the world”. Mr.Balakrishnan thundered along when he said, “Who is to say that the posts on Rediff message boards are written using wrong English. When a billion Indians decide a new way of communicating then it better be the new standard.”
