exactly.. what is this regarding? bcoz mostly the audience here at indianpad understand English.. so pretty appreciated if u can make this readable.. also advice u to use some sorta language translator at your blog to attract even more visitors…

The main intention of TeluguVadiNi blog is to start writing the blog in my mother tongue i.e. Telugu and mainly the content is basically about Andhra Pradesh politics/politicians, Telugu movies and general related. So as of now no intentions of using a translator for some other languages but will think about it at a later time once it has reasonable amount of content. Sorry for this.

The main intention of my post on IndianPad is to see the depth of Telugu users, their contribution and their usage time, recognition of Telugu articles, their effort to promote these news etc, not just to promote the blog. Being in IT and all the time using mails, chat, notepad/MS-Word, it looks like ages I wrote some thing in Telugu, so I thought to come out of this English communication all the time, i want to write some thing in Telugu at least once in a while made to go come up with this blog.

Coming to your request : If you are an Indian then you know about the story of Karna, how he was humiliated based on his caste, not allowed him to compete against Arjuna and then Dhuryodhan rescued him by arguing with his elders, making them recollect about their origin/caste and finally making Karna as king in Kaurav’s empire. There was a movie named DVSK (Dana Vira Sura Karna) directed/acted by NTR (Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, ex-CM of AP and the great Telugu Actor) and the whole scene was with very powerful, furocious dialogues by Duryodhana (played by NTR) and those dialogues were very popular amongst of Andhrites.

The current ruling government in AP i.e Congress(YSR i.e Rajasekhar Reddy being the CM) in the past 3+ years of ruling was full of corruption, nepotism and communal favorism (for Reddys especially but it’s very common in AP like earlier when TDP i.e Telugu Desam was in power they were favs to Kamma/Chowdarys), allotment of Govt lands/irrigation projects to YSR’s friends, family, ministers, MLAs, MPs and servants working for him/his ministers etc.

So those dialogues that were mentioned in DVSK movie by Duryodhan (NTR) were rewritten to show the how the corruption/nepotism etc shown by YSR, as YSR actually copied an earlier idea i.e Rs.2 per KG of Rice, of NTR was the CM for AP.

@teluguvadini – Best of luck with your blog! I am sure it will be a hit with all the telugu speakers here. However, it may be a good idea to give a small translation in a comment or within the post here so that we can participate in it as well…

Reg DVS Karna.

During my Childhood, only TV entertainment is DD. and that too every sunday, it used to broadcast “Regional movies” under name Pranteya basha Chitralu with English subtitles. Once in 3-4 months we can watch Telugu Movie, one fine day it broad casted Daana Veera Suura Karna, under regional movie. We all are excited to see sub titles in first few scenes, but those English sub titles disappeared when the scene mention in the above story started and no sub titles again for few weeks.

I am excited over Volgo Sub titles, after the DVD released the sub titles again disappointed me, since they just used one sentence “Decorate Karna with gold …” for Sodara Dusshasana Navaratna kachita manimaya….. vegamuga temmu.

Similarly, Telugu, Hindi and other national languages are tightly connected and more over we share same cultural values, so we can atleast find words for true translation, but English completly a foreign language its hard to get similar words and also grammar rules, so translation to english will damage the original meaning and feel.

Watch rang de Basanthi or Lagaan with mute on and read sub titles in English, you will understand my words clearly.

Even I remember those days of DD fun and the excitement of ready to watch these ‘regional movies’ and just recollected how the news of the movie name spread like wild fire across our friend/family circles in villages/towns/cities. Thanks a lot for bringing back those nostalgic moments.

Very well said about the translation of such dialogues and movies.

BTW not just Rang De Basanthi or Lagaan, even if you look at the translation for couple of words, we will be laughing like mad. (some times I will turn on the subtitles for fun and see how they did)
