Reeling under internal bickerings and controversy surrounding Jaswant Singh’s expulsion, the BJP on Sunday suffered further embarrassment when Sudheendra Kulkarni, who was a close aide of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani, decided to quit the party over ‘ideological differences’.

Making observation of the present state of affairs in the BJP, Shourie said: “BJP Ek Kati Patang ki tarah hain (BJP is like a kite without its string attached),”
