Indian outsourcing giant HCL Technologies has told its software engineers they have to work longer days without any extra pay for the greater good of the company.
The firm will now be working its Indian software engineers at the same rate as employees in its call centres, and systems integration and technical support divisions.

Software firms are slowly transforming to early day mills – they have transportation to haul their workers, feed them in house (so that they can have meetings during lunch!) and want them to work like slaves.
Next you know they would build development centres in remote islands and can have people work day & night?
Investigate whether the company promotes intrapreneurship before taking up the offer in any software company.
