The violence in Mumbai triggered by Maharashtra Navnirnman Sena chief Raj Thackeray’s comment on north Indians seems to have extended to attacks on the media as well.

On Tuesday night, an Outside Broadcast (OB) van of Hindi news channel IBN7 was attacked in Mumbai.

At around 2330 hrs (IST), several men pelted stones at the van parked near the Worli petrol pump, shattering its windshield.

The driver took the vehicle out of the area immediately, preventing further damage to the van.
