There is no need to blame anybody. We knew this couldn’t last forever. Lets hope the replacement to Google AdSense is as good as what we had…

We are testing Yahoo Ads and they seem to be working fine. Please update your Google AdSense ID in your profile with your Yahoo ID. This has been added without extensive testing so kindly let us know if you see any glitches in the interface.

This is really sad (perticualry for those who were earning good from google)...i think YPN is also very strict with their policies.. and even we remove ads from music section there are lots of copyrighted material we post on general section. I dont think YPN is good alternative.

@indianpad – do u apply for yahoo ads here http://publisher.yahoo.com/ if yes, they say, Participants of the program must have a valid U.S. Social Security or Tax ID number, and web site content that is predominantly in English and targeted at a U.S. user base. Does it mean you can’t apply for yahoo ads if ur nt in the USA

Yahoo was not our primary choice but we want to provide some option to our users while we look at other networks.

Also, some of you have been marketing your ad space to other advertisers. Let us know if you need any specific assistance with that…

Its double standards for Qoogle, in a forum site I have seen them posting their ads from more than a year and that site has much more copyrighted material (hollywood movies,english music,softwares and warez) but they never stopped posting ads there?

And only one or two songs has made them ban the whole WEBSITE!

@dayalaman- This also means that IndianPad cannot use Yahoo ads, becuase most of the content is not U.S. user base but world-wide user base. We recieve a lot of traffic from US but its still not targeted at US users rather it serves users from many countries.

Hey YPN is for US residents only….so most indian residents can’t use it:( any other alternative to it.. Adbrite ..

I think better way is just sale the ad space …like right now we are doing. How much of us really earning from Boogle? hardly in few pens..so why to create chaos…just make banner ads and if you have enough traffic to your stories then sale them or just do promote your own site…Thats enough!!!
IMO dont put any ad…just add some more options to banner ads

Hey I don’t know too much about this ad site, but from what I’m reading – people will pay a certain amount to advertise on your site (obviously some sites are worth more money in advertising, but…) They are used on sites like megaupload and stuff so I don’t think downloading songs and such will conflict with their ads. Might be worth looking into since yahoo doesn’t sound like the place to go with either…

Adbrite would be a good choice as its not so strict on its rules but the pay rate is very low compared to adsense..:( So its better v just sell the adspace as munnabhai stated..

@indianpad – can you just allow us to put code for any of the other advertising website that we are using like adbrite, textlink ads, bidvertiser etc. in the profile page

like an option for

put your adcode here (adbrite / text link ads etc)

and you check it (approve it), and if its cool, that is doesnt break the website or page etc or not any other malicious script

if approved put it in our (the users) ad box

it will be like approving any other image ads that we put, put now you will have control over the scripts that the ad will be using too

and people can’t change that code until its approved by indianpad again
