In the first accident reported from the Bandra-Worli Sea Link since its inauguration, a car banged into another that had broken down on the bridge on Tuesday evening. Nobody was injured and both vehicles were towed away in 10-15 minutes, the police said.

“The wheels of an Esteem suddenly got jammed and halted on the Worli-end of the link when another car banged into it from behind. Both cars were damaged,’‘ deputy commissioner of police S S Solunke said.

The cars were soon moved to one side of the link to avoid disruption of traffic. A crane then towed them away from the bridge. Traffic on the link slowed down but there wasn’t a snarl.
