Each day millions of commuters across the world wait for a bus or a train, wondering when it will arrive. Now a group of students at Carnegie Mellon University’s Adelaide campus that includes Indians has found a way to tell you exactly when your bus or train will be at your stop.

The Sandora Prototype 1.0 is a tracking system which sends live timetable information and a Google Map showing the location of the vehicle, direct to mobile phones by SMS. Commuters can obtain the information either before their trip or while waiting at a stop.

With this new application, we will be able to maximize our time, and we will know when will our trip will arrive. By the way, if you’re looking forward to making some extra money on the side, or something to do in the meantime, you could try freelance writing. Freelance writing is especially popular in the age of the internet, as a competent writer, if they find the right websites, can write articles and make some decent green from the enterprise. You DO have to know what you’re doing – as most article sites taking submissions won’t pay you, or at least much, if you can’t read or write well. If the condition is such that the verisimilitude of a persons vocabulary is comprised, whether through ignorance or through incompetence, the likelihood of getting extra cash from freelance writing is slim.
