Caring for Pet Rabbits – Is it Easy?

Rabbits are very affectionate, but could get really aggressive and destructive at times. Many have got the misconception that a pet rabbit can be picked up and cuddled just like the kids stuffed bunny rabbit. In fact with pet rabbits it is just the opposite – even the slightest mishandling of your pet rabbit could prove fatal. Treating the rabbit gently is very important.
Warnings
#1 Never pick up a rabbit by the ears. Rabbit ears are
very sensitive and easily damaged.
#2 Always support your rabbit’s rump with one hand as
you lift him and use the other hand to support his upper body.
Never let your rabbit’s hind legs dangle; the weight of his
lower body can break his back.
#3 Do not lift a rabbit by the scruff of his neck. He
will kick and may break his back.
