A google custom search… That’s nice, it can be better than our own search engine.
whats the point in creating a different website for this… If Indianpad adds the Google custom search, there will be no use of this link you have given… my 2 cents.
Not bad! I hope you make enough money from Google ads to pay for the domain name…
You could have got it in my indianpad profile ..Ad free
the domain name is free
Its a trademark infringement of Indianpad. I think while the intent of the dayalman is honorable, I think he might run into trademark issues
lol wat does that mean… i think i shud get the website down… and let ppl search from within indianpad.com using this story… i hope @indianpad.com dont have a problem with that.
PS: i dont make any profit/ad money out of this… its ad free as the one @devil has on his profile… this is just to benefit the indianpad.com users… coz i face the same searching problem sometimes
@jiyocricket – c’mon buddy, lets get over the trademark issue.. is the term “indianpad” trademarked to start with ?? owning a domain name <> trademark !! (ie: IS NOT EQUAL TO)
@dayalaman – I bet your intentions are honorable. and trademark from my perspective aint an issue – as long a the term “indianpad” aint trademarked…
if trademarked in the US. then why does this leand to NO results : search
are we now gonna go into doing a international trademark search just to find out if creating a google custom search engine that goes against indianpad.com is ethical or not… c’mon now…
lets not live in the prehistoric world… look ahead…
@rohan – I don’t think IndianPad ever told dayal to shut it down or anything.
Also, you don’t need to trademark an insignia or name to stop others from using it. If you do business in an area then your company name and other insignia are usually protected even without a registered trademark. Federal registration is only useful if you wish to protect your name nationwide without doing business in every state.
I don’t think it will ever come to that but as long as IndianPad can show that visitors came from a certain region the trademarks would be enforceable even without registering.
@beachbong – u got a point… but well, trademarks come into the picture when there’s a lot of money behind the “name’ otherwise… it’s just a name…
but I DO get your point.. it ethics more than policies and procedures…
