Former Indian speedster Javagal Srinath has been appointed an International Cricket Council match referee, the Indian cricket board announced on Monday.

Srinath, 36, replaces former England batsman Chris Broad. Srinath will be the first Indian to be on the elite ICC panel since November 2003.
