Rohan Sippy’s film, ‘ The President is Coming ‘ will see Konkona Sen Sharma playing a homosexual. Konkona Sen Sharma’s character, Maya Roy, is a lesbian. She is very excited about her role in this film.

The film is in English and directed by debutant Kunaal Roy Kapur, who has also directed the same script as a play earlier. Konkana playing a lesbian was kept under wraps by the filmmakers. The role was meant to surprise the audience. But the focus of the film is not Konkana’s sexuality, it is a humourous film about six ambitious Indians who will stop at nothing to win a handshake with President Bush. It is a mockumentary.The film also stars Shernaz Patel and Ira Dubey.
