This is an amazing Calendar Design made out of strike able

Calling a cellphone a mere phone seems a little silly these
days. The little pocket wonders now do so much they are really
handheld computers. With extras. The process of mashing one or
more gadgets together in the same box used to be called
convergence, but that approach quietly died as the mobile phone
ate up any and every rival device.

So successful has this been that whole product categories have
had the life choked out of their twitching bodies by the phone.
The following list is an obituary to five of them, plus a look
at the cellphone’s next victim.

Google is reportedly weighing into the Internet voice search
arena with a free application that lets iPhone user’s surf
online by speaking queries.

An article published in The New York Times said the software
could be available at iTunes online store shortly.

Google will be stepping into an arena with rivals Microsoft and
Yahoo, which already let people using “smart” phones scour the
Web with spoken queries.

The Internet powerhouse already offers a toll-free GOOG411
telephone service in the United States that people can call and
speak to a computer system that fetches contact information
they seek.

Its snazzy touch interface may have grabbed headlines (and

served up by the iPhone 3G is the App Store.

This is an online store (accessible from the iPhone as well as
through iTunes on a computer) from which users can download
applications for their iPhones.

These applications vary from RSS

We all want a 3D printer for our home, but the costs and
materials could be sky high. A new 3D printer called Matrix
from Mcor Technologies provides a wonderful possibility of
creating the 3D models using plain paper and glue.

The 3 dimensional models seen in the images were created by A4
paper and cost a dollar or less in materials. As a design is
decided on, the Matrix Printer cuts paper being fed into
required size and uses glue to combine additional pieces, thus
creating beautiful an amazing 3D designs.

Can you even imagine forking out nearly 20,000 dollars for a
computer with 64K RAM? I can’t imagine what the people during
that era of computer buying must have gone through. Jesus
Christ! The price tags on these computers that you are about to
see were beyond outrageous. In the 80s computers that weighed
55 pounds were called portable computers and now we whine if
they are over 5 pounds. We sure as hell are spoiled cause
personally I wouldn’t fork out more than 1000 dollars for a
nice rig. Check out these images, although they were the roots
for modern day computers, they were ugly as hell and the price
no matter what anybody says didn’t justify whatsoever.

Perhaps, you want to fix your laptop, but you don’t know what

Nokia Oyj on Tuesday unveiled seven new phones as well as
Internet services to shore up its position in emerging markets.

The new phones will include the Nokia 1202, a follow-up to
Nokia’s top-selling model 1200, which will sell for around 25
euros ($32.2) and two models with e-mail support priced at 40
euros.

Emerging markets are a stronghold for the world’s top cellphone
maker, but it has lately seen increasing competition from
vendors such as China’s ZTE and
Samsung Electronics.

Shares in Nokia rose on the news and were 0.87 percent firmer
at 12.69 euros by 0906 GMT.

Handset makers are looking increasingly for opportunities to
tap booming demand from emerging markets as slowing economies
have started to hurt sales in developed markets.

Google has decided to abandon its advertising partnership with
Yahoo to avoid having a “protracted legal battle” with
regulators.

The deal involved Google providing some of the advertising
around Yahoo’s search results and would have been worth $800m
(£494m) a year to Yahoo.

It was originally announced in June but has faced anti-trust
objections.

Yahoo said in a statement it was disappointed that Google had
decided not to fight for the deal in court.

Here’s a collection of 10 cool mouse designs, which I believe

concepts exposed here are already on the market, although you

Good news for workers addicted to Facebook, Bebo and MySpace —
a British think-tank says bosses should not stop their staff
using social networking sites because they could actually
benefit their firms.

The report by Demos said encouraging employees to use
networking technologies to build relationships and closer links
with colleagues and customers could help businesses rather than
damage them.

Author Peter Bradwell said that while companies were using
specific systems to share information, online social networking
sites could also play a role, helping with productivity,
innovation and democratic working.

Most Advanced Quadruped Robot on Earth
BigDog is the alpha male of the Boston Dynamics family of
robots. It is a quadruped robot that walks, runs, and climbs on
rough terrain and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by a
gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system.
BigDog’s legs are articulated like an animal’s, and have
compliant elements that absorb shock and recycle energy from
one step to the next. BigDog is the size of a large dog or
small mule, measuring 1 meter long, 0.7 meters tall and 75 kg
weight.

When I logged into my iGoogle account today, I noticed some
cool changes. Google seemed to have played around with several
of the applications. So if you use one of those applications on
your iGoogle page, then you must have noticed those changes as
well. I check Google’s official blog and found a recent post
called: What’s new with iGoogle? The main change is that Google
has enabled canvas view for several applications. You can now
view the applications in the same window instead of a different
window (i.e. you had to open a new window to go to your GMail
account).

The FCC’s Office of Engineering Technology has released its
long-awaited technical report on “white space” prototype
devices, and the conclusion comes right up front: “At this
juncture, we believe that the burden of ‘proof of concept’ has
been met. We are satisfied that spectrum sensing in combination
with geo-location and database access techniques can be used to
authorize equipment today under appropriate technical
standards.”

Note that focus on “proof of concept”; the OET doesn’t argue that white space prototypes
work flawlessly yet, and the report makes quite clear that they
do not. In fact, they don’t do lots of things, including
“communicate with other devices.” But what they do show is that
spectrum sensing of TV signals can work with great accuracy,
even if transmission currently causes problems.
