TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology. Given an image to search for, TinEye tells you where and how that image appears all over the web—even if it has been modified.

Just as you are familiar with entering text in a regular search engine such as Google to find web pages that contain that text, TinEye lets you submit an image to find web pages that contain that image.

It amazed me with its ability to extract and list down every single page from Google Books. I can’t be certain if this is considered illegal, but I don’t see any difference between viewing it from my browser and viewing it from an image manager.

Free application CircleDock automatically puts files, folders, and shortcuts within a few pixels of your mouse when you invoke it for quick action. CircleDock is completely customizable, from the skin and hotkey to the items you place in the dock. You can rotate the items in the circular dock with your scrollwheel, which is cool despite its questionable usefulness. The app is portable, so you can toss it on your thumb drive and take it with you. CircleDock is free and open source, requires .NET 3.5.

I recently came across mint.com which is an excellent site for consolidating and tracking your financial information online. I used the site for a while but closed my account today as I wasn’t very comfortable giving all my banking information to one site.

Anyhow, the site is great and certainly a great tool for someone who is not as paranoid as me.

Featuring an API, Fire Eagle acts as an interface for managing and sharing location information. Users can authorize Web, mobile, or desktop applications to update location, and they can do it manually on the Fire Eagle Web site or mobile sites.

Fire Eagle enables developers to build geo-aware applications, letting them focus on location without having to build the infrastructure to handle users’ locations, Yahoo said. Yahoo has set up the Fire Eagle Developer Center, featuring documentation, support, and code for building location-aware services.

1) From the source spreadsheet, select the list of columns that you want to transform as rows and copy them using Ctrl + C or copy option

When you install Speed Launch, an icon in the shape of a bull’s eye gets added to the desktop. You may simply drag-n-drop files, browser tabs, program shortcuts over this icon to setup an alias or give that file a more meaningful and easy-to-remember name.

You may also create shortcuts to write search queries. For example, to search Wikipedia just type “Wikipedia Search” and hit enter (it will auto-complete as soon as type the first few characters).  Next, type what you want to search for in the new window and hit enter.
