Why Gmail provides two email adresses?

Gmail is a well known and of of the best and well known product of Google. As, it is the product of google then it should contain something special than other email service providers like ymail, aol mail and many other mail…

So, here is the thing which we found more interesting!
While registering or creating your email over the Gmail and naming it as yourname@gmail.com, then you are getting another secret email address which is quite personal. The new id will be such as yourname@googlemail.com (can be called as an invisible email ID)

its just alias.. u can give any1 that ID and u will receive mails in same mailbox.

And FYI its not just 2.. while sending u can put dot anywhere in ID.
Eg. username@gmail.com. user.name@gmail.com gets into same mail box.

U can add + and anything and get email in same mail box.
Eg. Username+test@gmail.com will get and yr same user ID… so u can create anything u want….

these alias helps u to create filters for different ppl. I always use username+spam@gmail.com to all these sites to register and filter it when i receieve mails on that ID….
