I noticed that the astronaut is carved from stone that appears newer than that above. Could it have been added by workmen making recent repairs?

It’s not photoshopped. It was added by a restoration crew recently.

Has anyone asked the principles, or even the locals what it’s all about?

yeah. i actually visited this cathedral when i went over to spain earlier last year.
the tour guide said that they repaired that bottom portion of the cathedral and added the astronaut as kind of a joke. there is also an ice cream cone carved into the building several feet from the astronaut…
i touched that astronaut…

Look – come down to earth people … simpy you can see the ancient fireman with his little hose was cut into stone – however the actual needs for firemen changed drastically and left NASA with the used outfits due to government downsizing … there was no funds to send others anywhere excepting in the fire men’s ex – clothing. Clear as mud????

Please put out brains together …. don’t listen to the guy with the story … something is fishy when he says he played with the guy carved in stones image … not implying he has pent up feelings … just his story don’t grrovvvve with the real issues … fire men – became astronauts later – thousands of years later … hey – your uncle is a monkey isn’t he??? Whats the difference???

Clearly this is the work of someone who has traveled back in time from NASA. However, it was probably the robot sidekick who did the actual carving, since the craftsmanship is so precise. We need to take this seriously, or else one day time travel will not BE invented, and this astronaut will disappear (like in Back to the Future)...

Time Travellers, who have been documented in many ancient texts, may have shown a local Spanish person an image of an astronaut from the Grolier Encyclopedia cd-rom which was run on a computer (taken back with the time messengers).

I am more down to Earth than most of you… erhm… people…
They have been renovating that temple for years, this obviously was a joke by the workers.

How on Earth is that a fireman? That’s not even a hose it’s a design. Fire fighters were most likely around during the 1860’s which is nowhere near the date this thing was made.

Look at the 4th and 5th image, notice that line he’s holding? It’s not done yet because the time they were taken on both of them are different, or they were photoshopped.

There were no time travelers who came back to the past, there were no aliens in this one, and definitely not a fireman. Who’s right? The whack-jobs or the tour guide who knows more about this than anyone?
