Yea..i know wordpress gives a bigger opportunity but there were some reasons to prefer blogger. Actually..there is a post on my personal site on why i preferred blogger over wordpress (site presently not public)

While i was getting my themes ready for Orkut Plus, i had a very confusing thought every now and then. Blogger or Wordpress? I have always been a patient guy doing things after reading the pros and cons but believe me this time it was going to be harder than ever. Wordpress had some major advantages 1,2 over blogger which gave a staggering 33,900 results when searched for “Blogger Sucks“. The inability to have personalized subdomains on blogger was one of the major drawback which was bothering me. I took a couple of days break from the world wide web keeping the issue out of my ‘bandwidth’ for some time. Finally, the big one came…

Listening from to my heart, neglecting the shortcomings in blogger, and the dominance of wordpress , i decided to host my sites on blogger. Blogger was my first subject which i had revised to such an extent that i was confident dealing with it anytime anywhere. On the other hand, wordpress was like a new class, new subject – unsure of what’s to come. The Google effect, its user friendly behavior influenced my decision to a great extent. I was quite perturbed initially, since my plans were not at all practical if i chose blogger and had to chalk them down all over again. That is when delay was taking the toll on me. I managed to join the pieces to make a complete picture and that was when i saw my decision paying off. The subdomain problem was solved since i made different posts look like separate pages on orkut plus with those tabs courtesy dynamic drive.

Let us see what is coming up since i am coming very close to the launch of the new version of Orkut Plus!

Thanks.. and yes, that is due to tabs. It works fine when tested without tabs. I’ll fix it soon.

Nice site as i said…i think as you have your own domain, just stay with blogger for a while till google indexes your site with your domain..then you can move your blog to wordpress…Wordpress is the best when it comes blogging … lots of adons and functinality..
